A young man who had come with his cousin to see Baba Vishwanath drowned at Lalita Ghat while bathing in the Ganges. The cousin who was taking bath together made noise. By the time the young man was taken out of the deep water, his breath had stopped. The information created chaos among the family members of the young man.

Ravi Patel (18), a resident of Sarkari Puram Manduwadih, along with his cousin reached Lalita Ghat on Saturday afternoon. Both of them had planned to visit Vishwanath Dham after bathing in the Ganges. While taking a bath at Lalita Ghat, Ravi Patel got down from the stairs and went into deep water. Seeing him drowning, cousin Shubham raised an alarm.

NDRF personnel and sailors who reached the spot started searching for Ravi. Ravi Patel’s body was found after about two hours. After the information, there was chaos among the family members who reached the ghat. The police of Dashashwamedh police station sent the dead body for postmortem after conducting panchnama. Cousin Shubham told that Ravi was the youngest among three brothers.
