Due to the strike of electricity workers, a big action has been taken on Saturday amidst a lot of hue and cry in the whole of UP. In Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, 2125 employees of the department working on contract have been fired. Apart from this, a case has been registered on behalf of the corporation against 23 named people in different police stations of Ghazipur, Basti and Fatehpur. This includes 20 contract workers, two JEs and one officer. Purvanchal Discom Director Personnel Shesh Kumar Baghel gave this information.

The contract workers who were sacked include 372 from Varanasi, 251 from Azamgarh, 100 from Pratapgarh, 58 from Ballia, 25 from Chandauli, 16 from Mau and 150 from Kushi Nagar. According to the information received from the sources, large scale action is yet to be done in Purvanchal Discom.

CM Yogi gave strict instructions

The attitude of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Varanasi on Friday, was visible. In a meeting with the officials at Circuit House, the CM asked the MD of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam to make such arrangements that the public does not face any problem.
