Soni Chauhan (32) was killed by a blow to the head in Indiranagar area. This has been revealed in the post mortem report. Earlier, during interrogation, the elder daughter of the woman had told about beating her mother with a rolling pin. Brother has filed a case of culpable homicide against sister’s husband Pawan, brother-in-law Shyamu and father-in-law Subhash. According to Dharmendra Chauhan, a resident of Mau’s Kopganj, sister Soni was married on April 17, 2009, to Mau Ghosi’s tiles artisan Pawan Chauhan. For some time Soni was living with her husband and in-laws on rent in Santapuram Colony of Indiranagar. Soni and Pawan have two daughters Shreya, Shivangi and son Puneet. According to Dharmendra, on March 8, Pawan called and informed that Soni had committed suicide. After a few hours, Pawan and his family reached Ghosi with Soni’s body. In the meanwhile the parents also came. Seeing Soni’s death as suspicious, the parents informed the police. Ghosi police sent the body for postmortem.
Elder daughter told that mother was beaten
Soni’s elder daughter Shreya told Dharmendra and others that on March 8, Papa Pawan had hit Mummy four to five times with a rolling pin. After this Pawan locked the children in the room. After some time the room was opened and the children were told that Soni had hanged herself. When the post mortem report came, it was found that Soni had died due to head injury. Dharmendra alleges that the sister had complained of assault many times before. Had also expressed apprehension of untoward incident with him.
