"Unregistered Domain" Error from ImageShack images- Problem Solved !

For the past two days, users are able to see this image, of the images hosted via the most popular image host, imageshack.us. This might be because of the increasing bandwidth costs due to huge amount of users uploading images for free. ImageShack.us probably, would have run out of ideas to control the bandwidth. So, it is now following the route of TinyPic, which once was the best host, now the worst image host. Imageshack made some recent changes to its image hosting process.
Here's the quick look on the changes made my ImageShack,
  • Images can be uploaded by a non-registered user, but cant use it unless the user is registered.
i.e, only Registered users can upload images and host them.
Images hosted on your site, must be registered to imageshack, to avoid getting the error " Unregistered Domain". To overcome this problem, please follow these steps:
  • Go to http://www.imageshack.us
  • Sign in, if you have a account, or else register for a new one. Its very fast and easy.
  • Go to the following link
  • And fill in the details, provide your site, in which you use ImageShack.us images and its short description. and enter the Captcha and click on "Send E-Mail".
  • Your website will be reviewed by ImageShack.us authorities and your images will be seen as it was in past.
  • Remember, your images are not deleted from ImageShack.us servers, it is just blocked, because of your unregistered website.
Disadvantages due to this new feature :
Users posting in Forums, Multi posting websites will be affected and will not be able to use their images in those sites. But, if the Forum/Website's domain is registered with ImageShack, then it will not be a problem for users.
Users can aslo opt for other best image hosts, which are free, like

This is utter bullcrap, I wish imageshack left a notice beforehand!

I can't be bothered registering now since I've seen feedbacks that it takes a lot of time to get approved.

Thanks for the alternatives. :)

Yes, ImageShack should have informed earlier.

Thats bs...what about older sites people don't update anymore like guides etc we can't see the images and follow the guide nor contact the admin anymore because the site is too old abandoned.:-/

@Anonymous
As i already said, if you Login to ImageShack, all the images will be visible. Be it any website.
If you own the site, then copy the image location and remote upload to Some other host.
eg. lulzimg.
It works great.

There is also a script I found on the internet called logdigester.php for online viewing of php error logs. It will do most recent entries as well as sort between errors, warnings, notices etc. and count duplicates.

I’m considering getting their (dv) service, but all the (gs) complaints i’ve read online gave me pause (even though its a different plan). Your site is making me consider it again.

I do not recommend any free host at this time .You could try blogspot ,picasa, photobucket ,flickr ... they are fast and reliable hostings ,but with free accounts ,I'm not sure about what they do in future . One day they can lock all images and ask for money :D

I was shocked when this morning found so many ugly frogs on my site :)
I'm using your delightful Simplex Newspro.
Hadn't had a chance to say thank you for making that layout available for free for blogger.
Thanks a bunch!!

Just noticed today that none of my ImageShack hosted pictures are showing up, which is practically all the pictures on my blog. Anyone know what's going on? Anyone know a way to contact Blogger directly instead of having to post in this forum? I guess this is the motivation I needed to transfer everything over to Wordpress...

Same problem here.
I see you have gone 3 days with no answer.....

I figured it out, it's ImageShack, they've instituted some new requirement that blocks images from loading on custom domain addresses unless you register your custom domain with them, so I'm not going to bother with ImageShack any more. Downside is I have to move 5,000 images to another host....

I just activated this plugin and tried it out and it works like a charm! What a time-saver, awesome plugin. Thanks!

A bit of offtopic though, I’m looking for this simple with a form. That is without the integration of wordpress plugin. A user uploads the image on my website and it uploads to imageshack and displays the hotlink url.

I would be thankful to you, if that’s possible.

I get this error: Sorry, upload to ImageShack failed.

Can you hel me???
